There are two routes leading to the Chilli Pepper Lodge.
The first one is the route, which goes via Nelspruit.
Leave Johannesburg on the N12 highway, going east to join N4 Highway at Witbank. Stay on N4, passing Belfast up to Nelspruit.
Before entering Nelspruit, turn left onto R40, towards White River. At NTT Toyota, turn left. Then at the first traffic light, turn right. Follow this road up to the left turn towards Hazyview. Take this road and drive for about 42 km, to reach Hazyview.
Upon entering Hazyview, turn left at the T-junction. Drive straight for 3 km, (across three stop streets) and turn left onto the R536 direction, towards Sabie.
The lodge is 9 km from this turn-off on the left hand side of the road and is well indicated.
The second route goes through Lydenburg, which is more scenic.
Take the same route from Johannesburg, but turn left at Belfast, onto R540. The route is similar as the one through Nelspruit. However, when you reach Belfast, turn left onto R540. Pass Dullstroom to Lydenburg.
Take R37 over Long Tom Pass to Sabie. From Sabie, take R536 towards Hazyview.
The lodge is about 34 km away from Sabie and is on the right side of the road.
