The wooden doors of Tana Mera open onto the main deck with loungers, a rim flow pool and an exceptional view of the cascading Sabie River and Sabie Valley.
The Mpumalanga Lowveld enjoys hot summers and mild winters, making it pleasant to visit all the year round.
In summers, the birds look spectacular, as they are in breeding plumage, with exciting migrants abounding.
In winter, residents such as the shrikes and owls are still to be seen, and the walks are cooler. This is the perfect season for game viewing on walks or a visit to the Kruger National Park.
Photographic opportunities are aplenty. Guests will need camera, lenses, film and batteries, all of which can also be bought in Hazyview.
There are safes in each chalet, for depositing cash and valuables. There is facility to use the credit card, but it is a good idea to carry some cash.
Laundry service is provided on request.
Recent issues of magazines are provided in the rooms.
